SPCC holds salons where image submitted by members are reviewed by a judge.
You can find images from past salons here.
General Salon Rules
All current dues-paying members can enter salons. Members must have made the original exposure of their entries, but image processing and printing may be done commercially. The first meeting of every month is reserved for salons. Salon entries are due the second meeting of the month for next month’s salon meeting. Each salon includes an “image category” competition and an “open category” competition. See the digital image rules below. Also see the salon image category schedule below. Salon Categories
Each salon allows members to submit up to two digital images and two printed images.
Digital entries
For most salons, members are encouraged to expand their range by entering a digital photograph that fits a particular theme. Themes may specify the specific subject (perhaps architecture or flowers), type of photography (maybe nature, street photography, or journalism), or technique (such as macro photography).
Of course, members may also submit any sort of photo in an open digital category.

Print entries
Members are allowed to submit one color and one monochrome image at each salon. There is no category or theme requirement.
