Special Awards for 2009-2010

At the end of the year, all the salon Award images are reviewed by an experienced judge to determine top awards for the year. Also at year-end, several images are picked for special awards.

Thelma Wille Award: Reflecting the interest of the Wille family to encourage and promote membership in the SPCC, this award is presented to a new SPCC member who is a beginning photographer and accumulates the most points (compared to other beginning photographers) in his or her first full year of competition (i.e. member has dues paid prior to the first salon of the competition year starting in October).  A beginning photographer is typically a person who has not previously been a photography club member or attained a degree in photography, etc.  Participation in this competition will be at the discretion of the new member.
